Wellesley vs. UChicago

I don't know what to do at all now that I've been accepted to both Wellesley and University of Chicago. Both are very different schools, I know, but I'm still confused! I don't know what to do!

Advice would be appreciated.

I've heard that U of Chicago offers a really good education, but isn't really a fun place to go to school.

Wellesley isn't supposd to be a 24/7 party either, but i think that the sense of community and proximity to boston make it a better choice than U of Chicago.

alternatly, U of Chicago is in Chicago, while wellesley is in wellesley MA, 45 minutes away.

oh, and wellesley is all girls.

both are supposed to have amazing academics.. a guy from my school who went to U of Chicago doesn't really like it at all, because he doesn't relate to many people there. however, he was a very "alternative" character.

i'm sure you knew all of that already, but it's what went through my mind..

ok, i have grown up in hyde park which is the u of c neighborhood. if u are completely focused on academics and don't really care about having a huge social life, then go for it. here, the u of c students are the butts of all the jokes in the high school. i mean, i understand that academics are why they are here, but it seems like that is all they are focused on. kids walk around wearing t-shirts that say "where fun comes to die..." when we use the u of c library we often wonder how many of the students have actually set up camp there. the campus is pretty ugly, but u are only a train ride away from downtown. when my parents told me i should apply there, i laughed in their faces. i just could never imagine my life here, fully drained of any fun or excitement.

wellesley slogan --"we'll sleep when we die"

i know both U of Chicago and Wellesley are very academically focused. Is Wellesley THAT hard to get good marks? Do students study 24/7?

hey that kind of scares me... will i have to work THAT hard? not that i was worried be4... i kind of am leaning toward going, regardless of wat my dad says about allgirl schools n lacs vs. umich or nyu or msu or some big school but anyhow, im thinking the same as highschool rite now i can handle... 6APs and 7th hour government... but if u say MORe... then... um... i dunno...

staying up all nite living off of coffee is no fun
