So, what do you think? Will my now top 20% class rank be really harmful to my chances of being accepted? Any responses, particularly regarding Cornell, will be greatly appreciated. Please help me out

a 97.7 is decile 2? Wow…if I was an admissions officer I wouldn’t penalize you for that because that’s ridiculous to expect you to have perfect scores in every class (unless you can go over 100).

sorry about that, UW is 95/100, which comes to 3.75ish according to the school

If I understand your school correctly, it’s a joke. No one, even the valedictorian, should be able to get an average that high. And that’s not even top 10%? Anyhow, if most of your grades are A’s with occasional B’s in rigorous classes, you have nothing to worry about. If you’re really worried, have your college counselor send a note or something. Doesn’t really make sense.

Your SAT is solid and congrats on getting into Michigan, Notre Dame, and Boston College. Those are some good schools and an indicator for the other schools, though they are no doubt more difficult. But you should be happy you’re into some great schools.

I can’t say definitively that you’re in any of those four schools, but I think your chances are good. Brown will obviously be the hardest. GL~!
