I am wondering if I have not killed my chances at the Ivies with my first semester grades. I guess the courseload got to me, but my grades look like:

GT Physics: B AP Econ: A
AP Bio (2 credits): B GT Finite Math (Half credit): A
AP English 12: B AP Stats: A
AP Psych: A

I have 3.85 (unweighted) GPA, rank 6/422 in a public magnet school.
I was able to improve my SAT to:

M 710 CR 790 W 710, essay 9

Does anyone know how schools will look at first semester grades (Will they become part of GPA)? I applied RD to Cornell and Columbia, and Penn, as well as Notre Dame and UVA.

Am VERY worried chances are gone! Thank you for any advice.

I should mention, my school's counseling office is sending my first semester report card, which shows a C in English 2nd semester, but a B in the Mid-Year (it was a high C).
