Were You Accepted-or Denied-by a "Dream" College & How Do You View It With Hindsight?

University of Pennsylvania was my dream school since I started working on my college list…in 7th grade lol. I learned everything I could learn about that school and even persuaded two of my friends that got in to go. My Penn supplement was the best one I wrote and it was the basis of most of my other supplements, which helped me get into some other top schools. Duke, Vandy, and UVa also became my favorites during the college application process, and Davidson another favorite after I visited, but Penn was always the dream.

In the end I was denied from both Duke and Penn, the only two schools I was denied from during the college process, and accepted into Vandy, Davidson, and UVa. I attend Cornell University now, and throughout first semester although I wish I was at Davidson sometimes, I know an education at Cornell will benefit me in the long run. I’m going to try new things and be more open minded while I’m here so I could be happier. Also I’ve become more interested in business, and I know taking business classes at Penn as a non-Whartonite could be challenging so it kinda worked out in that end, and Cornell’s financial aid package was not too shabby itself lol.
