Wesleyan for Athletes

Hey, I'm being recruited by Wesleyan among other schools for track and was wondering about a few things:

Are the athletic facilities nice?

How difficult is the workload?

What's the dorm situation like?

Thanks a lot to anyone who answers.

The athletic facilities are amazing. Simply top-notch. I’m not sure what other schools are recruiting you, but Wes has the best athletic facilities in the NESCAC (although Middlebury is right up there too), and one of the best facilities in all of D-III.

Wesleyan has beautiful athletic facilities. I’m swam at their pool a number of times, and it is amazing. The locker rooms, pool, indoor track, and ice rink are top notch.

I’m at Brown right now for a summer program and the facilities suck… I’m glad not every good school has bad facilities. thanks a lot for the help. I’m visiting soon…

As a parent of upcoming Wes sophomore…I was SHOCKED how GREAT the athletic facilities are at Wes…really downplayed on website, etc. when son was checking out schools…it was the last stop on campus tour and it was WOW!!!

Definitely check them out…

The facilities are truly amazing… My sons classmates who are going to Bowdein were truly envious…

Perilous… what sport does your son play and what dorm… my son is in Nic as a freshman, but they place sophmores there too.

S is trying out for ice hockey and is in the Music House this year (1 of 8 I think?)…music (his #1 passion) and hockey…some combo!!!

BTW…Bowdoin was his other final school…he chose Wes primarily for strength of music program…

He LOVES Wes – hope your S does too!!

he does… His roommate is a hockey player from New orleans… I’m sure they will bump into one another…
