@OwlOfAthena I’m glad you wrote need aware everything makes so much more sense now!
@Ashtash thank you! I deeply appreciated your kind edit on that post (on the previous page). That does help.
I’m just going to put this out there. If anyone does want to be inspired by reading my story. Go to AoPS News and look up “how I discovered my love of math”. Feel free to share it if you’d like. I hope my story goes on to inspire everyone.
Rejected.
To other rejected applicants: we can’t take it personally. There are a million factors at play, and only some of which we know about. Gotta stay positive! Best of luck to all.
Waitlisted, turning down the waitlist spot. Congrats to those accepted, and for those feeling dejected by the Wesleyan decision I wouldn’t worry too much about it, transfer admissions is so random.
Waitlisted and staying on! Thank you to all withdrawing, you’re helping me and other hopeful students. I come from a large university - I have a 3.9 here and had a 4.0 the last two years of high school but my first two years of high school I flunked an embarassing amount of classes (only stayed on top of my game in English and Art - coincidentally I am studying both in college). I think going to the interview made a huge difference in my decision and advocating for why I did not do my best in high school which was because I was taking care of a sick family member. I also think joining weird facets of my university like the Abortion Doula Planned Parenthood Cohort helped. Wes seems to enjoy that stuff. I am proud of everyone who applied! College is a scam and I am just glad that I am scraping into the admissions pool here. Wailisted at Barnard College as well, rejected from Vassar College, and accepted at Bard College. Being waitlisted is an accomplishment for an underdog like me.
@moodoo2 You’re not an underdog, you’re a great applicant! I hope you get in :).
Has anyone on the waitlist heard back yet?
