Egmom50 - What are your son’s other 2 top choices? I also intend to study music industry and I feel like barely any schools offer it…

True not many schools do offer it. Try SUNY oneonta and university of hartford and Northeastern, those are the other schools he found. applied to all three and is in at 2 waiting for decision on 2 (NE and drexel)

oh and the SUNY facilities are beautiful and being redone.definately worth checking out.

MyChemicalLoofa… What were your extras?

Applied to architecture program on January 16th. Obviously haven’t heard anything back yet, but when I do I’ll post.
SAT: 1940
GPA: 4.0 unweighted
Lots of AP&Honors courses, a few good ECs, nice recommendation letter and all that

Egmom - Assuming you mean extracirriculars, I’m in two bands (except one doesn’t count that much because it’s a school thing), I attended the Drexel Summer Music Industry Program, I’ve done robotics + competed all my years of high school, I play guitar, ukulele, have taken voice lessons, have a background in music theater, have been in choir + have traveled to Hawaii and Carnegie Hall with them, was selected for NASA/NOAA sponsored M.Y.S.P.A.C.E. (a group of students from across the nation that works together to present on climatic events at the National Satellite and Education Conference)

I looked at those schools too. I got accepted to Northeastern. I also got accepted to Belmont, and I’m waiting to hear about Loyola New Orleans and USC.

MCL…That’s a great resume. Congratulations! Good luck picking from that list - some great choices. We did know about Belmont and USC but not so sure about going to a school with a religious affiliation and wanted to wait until after undergrad to go the the west coast.
Would love to hear your final decision. Best of luck.
