wharton and mac

are there a lot of wharton kids that use macbooks?

I think so. I know most of the SEAS students use them.

The campus computer store is called Computer Connection. It is upstairs in Campus Book Store. I would call and ask them. The could also tell you if there are particular features that students typically get.

I hope it is okay to post the url. It is a upenn.edu address, and I am not affiliated with Computer Connection in any way.

My son uses a Mac and he is in Wharton. However, is a recent discussion he mentioned picking up another computer over software issues. Not sure what he meant. It was not super serious.

Yes, I’d say that most do. Excel and Powerpoint are solid reasons to use a Windows machine. However, most people use Huntsman computers for those assignments anyway instead of doing it on their personal machines, especially given that a lot of classes will assign group homeworks.

@"Keasbey Nights"‌ There is always the option of using Office for Mac for Excel and Powerpoint on a macbook

One of the reasons that the CS students use MacBooks is that they come with Unix on them.
