For the first time in what is probably decades, Wharton's finance classes (usually with a considerable wait-list) still have empty spots.

The jig is up; the Gilded Age of Finance has come to an unceremonious end...for the time being anyway.

I hope I am wrong (lest we look bad compared to the other top schools reporting 10-20% gains in apps), but I wouldn't be surprised if Wharton apps are way down this year.

Wharton apps may be down this year, but I wonder how much lower they would be compared to other years if this were true. In any event, it wouldn't surprise me if apps to the College went up for the regular admissions cycle. I'll guess we'll just wait and see.

Dude, most Wharton finance classes still have waitlists, ctfo.

and yet this board will be inundated with wharton chance threads next fall...

ya i dont think wharton has to worry too much
and wheres ur evidence that wharton cant fill its finance classes

Is that for real? I find it hard to believe they will have empty spots :/ Many people I know applied to Wharton anyway though, as am I :P

Yea, I think people that will be applying to Ivy League calibur schools know that the economy works in cycles and that a Wharton degree isn't gonna hurt you.

yeah i dunno about this being true for every class, my friend was high on the waitlist for several finance classes
