Wharton Dual Degree Help

I'm a B.A. Biomed in SEAS, and I want to get accepted into the Wharton Dual Degree. Due to the extremely competitive selection process, should I take a lighter course load than I was initially planning to help ensure that I have a high enough GPA for admission? For first semester, I was planning:
Math 114 (I have Math 104 AP credit)
Chem 101/053
Phys 140
Be 100
Econ 001

This is the maximum credits (5.5 cu) that I can take as a freshman first semester. However, since the gpa selection process for Wharton is so competitive, should I defer taking Math 114 until 2nd semester?
I don't know how difficult first year is going to be, so even though I like to challenge myself, and not "waste" a cu, I don't want it to prevent me from getting accepted into the dual degree. I think I can manage 5.5 cu first semester, but I've never taken classes at Penn before, so I don't know.
Any suggestions?

I'd take 114 second semester (unless there is a really good prof this semester) and take a writing seminar. It'll help your grades and give you more time to focus on Chem, Physics, and BE. Also, be sure to take Econ 1 with Stein. I worked with friends who had the other professor and they all said he coulnd't teach very well and his tests had really ugly numbers.

Thanks for the help. What are the writing seminars like and do you have any you recommend or have heard good things about? Looking at the course descriptions, it doesn't seem like any English class I've ever taken. I'm wondering if the essays meticulously graded for content and style like in a high school AP Literature and Composition class.

writing seminars are jokes compared to tougher classes. Just take one with a good professor (ratings on PCR).

What is PCR? [to check your professors?]

penn course review (online)

Thanks. Realized that right after I posted...thx though~
