Looking at the statistics for Whartons class profile I noticed that under previous experience the accounting industry only made up 2 percent of the class. Is it that they have less applicants who are accountants or is accounting not a desired work experience for Wharton?

A lot of people going into pure accounting for a profession do not need an MBA. I think there are just less applicants coming from the accounting world rather than accounting being a bad experience prior to wanting an MBA. The 2% that attend are people that want to shift from accounting into a different role.
