wharton or college of arts and sci?

I want to be an investment banker or hedge fund manager or, if I can make it big in the distant future, possibly a CEO or CFO. Would it make more sense to apply to Wharton or to the College of Arts and Sci to major in econ and/or math? I can show you my academic and EC stats if you'd like.

I would definitely recommend Wharton.

Can you transfer to Wharton after being admitted to the college of arts and sci?

Yes, you can. I know a person who did it. However, it’s much harder to transfer from CAS to Wharton than it is to transfer from Wharton to CAS (according to an admissions officer). After your freshman year or something, they look at all the people who want to transfer into Wharton, “line you up” by G.P.A and maybe the top 5 (idk really) get to transfer. I would suggest applying to Wharton right off the bat…

No, apply to Wharton for sure. I mean the college has some economics majors who go into banking. However, over 40% of the students at Wharton head into banking…so ya DEFINATELY apply to Wharton. If you do apply to the college, I think you need something like a 3.8 GPA to transfer into Wharton. That isn’t an easy thing to get at Penn.
