Wharton Retention Rate

I know Penn rarely releases individual school statistics, but has anyone ever heard what it has been in the past. If not, what's your best guess?

bumppppppppp

I think I read somewhere that it was about 70%, higher than yale, princeton, and stanford's, but lower than Harvard's.

Obviously since Penn doesn't like to release individual school statistics, it's hard to confirm this number.

you can check this info at businessweek. i saw it before.

Just wondering, why wouldn't they want to reveal individual school statistics? o_O

It's this ridiculous "one school" policy that Penn has

Retention rate is usually interpreted as the % of undergraduates who complete their degrees (as opposed to dropping out or transferring), in which case Penn is somewhere around 96-98%.

I think you might be thinking of yield rate, which is the % of applicants offered admission who accept and enroll, in which case Penn is around 67%. Wharton is niche and essentially peerless so its yield is higher, while SEAS is weaker and has a lower yield, and the College is somewhere in between.

And the ridiculous policy is "One University," get it right :P

haha yea I meant yield rate... sorry about that
