Wharton splits from University, stirs controversy

The Daily Pennsylvanian :: Wharton splits from University, stirs controversy

Is this a joke?

Obviously a joke article.

I just saw it too and was really startled. want to ask the same question! is it a joke?! (although I’m in no position to say) I just don’t really like the change…at all. :(

Folks: It’s the issue of the DP before April 1. The issue also includes stories about the university chaplain resigning suddenly and a conclave being assembled to select a new one (complete with the possibility of white steam coming out of a steam pipe when they do), Amy Gutmann “getting ratchet” and engaging in drunk Twittering, and the math department building being moved piece-by-piece to make it more convenient to Wharton (and being renamed, along with everything else, after Ronald Perelman).

It’s a joke. Duh.

It’s the annual joke issue of The Daily Pennsylvanian. :p

Take a look here for more of the same:

And see the column at the top of page 4 for an explanation of how this particular annual tradition began.

Thx guys! Now I feel kinda silly to have bought it :p

Wondering why they didn’t release it on April 1st…

Because it’s not technically an April Fools issue. Read the column at the top of page 4 in my link above to learn the unique history of the DP joke issue.
