Wharton Sports Business Academy!

Hi everyone! I am new to this website and I've been reading about very informational things on here! So, back to the subject, I am a sophomore and I have just been accepted to the Wharton Sports Business Academy. I am wondering if there are any alumni and any other people who know more about this program. I have already RSVPed and I just want to know a little more about this program. :)
Questions may include: How many people? How many people applied? Was it a good experience? etc...

Hi, I’m also a new member here. I’m doing my RSVP these days and hope to know more about it. As an international student, I don’t have any information source around me…btw, @Sole174‌ I’m looking forward to meeting you this Summer :)

Just found something somewhat informative by @yankeeboy23

"Typical day…

Weekday: class starts at 9 with a professor, goes until 12. After 12, you break for lunch. After lunch, you either have a site visit somewhere, or a guest speaker comes in/more lecturing from the profs. That lasts until about 6. Then you have dinner, usually at Penn, but occasionally with your business plan team. About once a week, you go after to a sporting event of some sort. Weekends are always different. Sunday is usually free, although there are occasional trips depending on what they schedule. Saturday, there is almost always a trip or sporting event to go to, but it’s still a lot of free time. However, towards the end of the program, you have to work on the business plan during your free time."

Im also going, @BarcaVelha‌ where are you from?

@Kesler I’m Chinese. There are few people here who know much about or have a strong interest in sports business. It seems that it is already a hot topic in the US,though.

Anyone else here going to the program?

Hey everyone,

I just got into this program! I’m really excited.

I wanted to know if any of you know how many girls got in this year? I’m wondering if I’ll be one of the only ones…

There will probably be some girls. On the website, there are pictures where there are about 5-6 girls I think.

Actually, I called about it and there are 15-20 girls. :-bd

Can someone tell me how to get into this program? do you have to have some special sports related experience?

@kuttima1215 you don’t need special sports related experience. You just have to be passionate about sports, able to write a good essay, and have great recommendations. Good grades make you a shoe-in. Then, just apply through Julian Krinsky Camps and Programs.
