wharton undergrad...whats next?

if you go to wharton undergrad and get a job afterwards (maybe in finance or consulting).......what do most people do then?

"65% of Wharton undergraduate alumni find that they never need to return to school for an MBA in order to advance their careers"

http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/undergrad/subPage.cfm?pageID=4

so many go to school to get a phd

DH did Wharton undergrad. Getting an MBA was never a consideration with a Wharton UG. He worked for five years, then went to law school. He now has a position where he wears both hats, much to his delight.

i'm not really considering law school

my main question is whats the most common past after undergrad at wharton....since most do not get an MBA

from what I've heard, a bachelor from wharton makes an MBA pretty obsolete.
many go directly in the iBanking sector and don't go back to university at all. others probably do graduate studies (MA or PhD).. law school seems to be quite popular too.

i'm sure you find statistics about what wharton grads do after college.

anyone have stats on what wharton grads do - like mba, phd, law?

i only found this site
http://www.vpul.upenn.edu/careerservices/wharton/surveys.html

it says what jobs people got but not their future plans in terms of further schooling

they have survey reports for CAREER PLANS AFTER GRADUATION but they basically just say that most people have full-time jobs right out of undergrad........i wanna know like within 10-15 years after graduation......ahve most people done further studies

10-15 years after graduation, many wharton grads get MBAs. you're not going to go get an MBA straight out of wharton ug, but after some time in industry, if you decided to switch fields or want to build out your network, you may go get an MBA. Almost no wharton grads are getting PhD's - I don't know where that idea came from. Law degrees and MBAs are often used in similar ways by wharton grads - to change careers or move up the latter.

Most i-banking jobs and consulting gigs are 2-5 year positions. After that, you find a new job. That's when people often work at startups or go on to be management at their previous firms or try something totally different. Asking what wharton grads do beyond 5 years out is just really unpredictable
