What 3 words describe Stanford

As a high school student considering my college options, I constantly hear everyone talk about finding a school that’s the right “fit.” Stanford looks like a great place on paper…so I’m asking current students of Stanford to describe your school or your experience there in 3 words in an effort to get a better feel for the place. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I’m not going to stick to three words, but Stanford is absolutely amazing. The opportunities that you will have here, the amazing people that you will meet, and the professors with whom you will have class with are incomparable to those at any other university. Sure, other schools are on the same academic par, but none also have the friendly people that Stanford does. This school is hard–I mean really hard–but if you can do it, it’s rewarding.

In terms of the opportunities, you might even get to hear the President of the United States speak. Today, I was able to do just that. It’s incredibly rare to have summits outside of The White House, but they chose to have a summit here because Stanford is the place to be right now and in the future.

Ivy of (the) west

beautiful, (extremely) competitive, Ivy

Atmosphere of ingenuity.

At least that’s what I experienced when I visited, and it’s why I fell in love with the school.

exclusive, motivated, daring

Hardest school to get into, almost all the students are super motivated, and they are daring to make it to the top and take risks.

I say this as reject of the school who absolutely fetishiz(es)ed it.
