I’m taking ACT soon and I’ve started on a few practice tests. Right now I am averaging a 29ish on almost everything. Ater 2 3 practice tests in each section, I’ve figured out my weakness- the problems that are later in the sections. For every test, I can fly through the first half with ease and get 0-1 wrong. On all 3 of my math act tests, I’ve gotten the first 40 questions correct. After the midway or 3/4 part of each section, I crash and I crash bad. I got a 27 on one of my math sections even though i got the first 2/3 correct because I completele messed up the last 15 questions. Like literally, on the last 15 questions I got only 1 correct. I know that math is in order of difficulty. but I know I can do those questions because literally as soon as I come back to see what I did wrong on the later questions, it takes me no more than a minute to spot what I did wrong. This isn’t only for math, the general trend for each one of my act sections is I get the first 1/2 or 3/4ish right but then completely bomb the last parts. Science I was really excited one time cause I was in the process of grading and got the first 30/31 correct…what happened next? I promptly bombed 8 questions in a row and only got the very last question correct.
I have a theory- I have a lack of concetration or mental stamina and thats why I do far worse on the later parts of the test…does anyone agree or has experienced similar issues? any recommendations? I’m desperate please help.
