Quick question- if I am a US citizen, but I live and will be applying from abroad, does that make me an international? Will the need-blind deal apply to me too? thanks

You will count as a US citizen I believe.
Cornell is need blind for everyone, internationals included.

really? thats cool. I read somewhere though that they look at all the applications from the same region at the same time, so the people with international addresses get grouped together. Yay well I'm happy now

I'm pretty sure Cornell is Need Blind for everyone, though Internationals won't have their need met.

I think during the admission process, they DO group you based on region? I'm not quite sure...

Cornell ain't need blind for internationals. It is for Canadians and Mexicans, though, I think.

lily - Unfortunately, there is a good possibility that you may be grouped with the intls. I probably was. And, if I'm not mistaken, you'll also have to give the TOEFL (or get 670+ in Verbal) and submit part of the international supplement.

are you kidding me? holy crap.

The TOEFL thing is a bit of a surprise to me. Are you sure even if I am a citizen I would have to take an english test? I think I'm going to email them. When we moved-we didn't even consider the idea that we may be group along with the international applicants- stupid on our part. thanks guys
