Here's the ones I'm hoping to take [I'll be starting sophomore year in two days).

Sophomore: AP European History (the only one that's possible to take as a sophomore at my school) Total so far: 1

Junior: AP Language, AP US History, AP Bio, AP Calc AB, AP Stats Total so far: 6

Senior: AP Lit, AP Physics B (or possibly AP Chem), AP Econ Micro, AP Econ Macro, AP Calc BC?, possibly AP Computer Science A Total so far: 11?

Planning on self-studying: AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, AP Computer Science A if not taken during senior year as a course Total: 12-14

Now, do you think I should just take AP Calc BC as a junior (without AB) and AP Stats as a senior?
Any other comments on my plans? I would appreciate it!

Freshman AP Human Geography
Self-study: None Total so far: 1

Sophomore AP World History
Self-study: AP Calculus AB, AP Environmental Science Total so far: 4

Junior AP Calculus BC, AP English Language, AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP Spanish Language
Self-study: None Total so far: 9

Senior AP Statistics, AP English Literature, AP Biology, AP Government, AP Macro/Microeconomics, AP Art History

TOTAL: 15

*Note: Might do AP Macro/Microeconomics next summer at the JSA Summer School

YES, take AP Calculus BC instead of AP Calculus AB if you have already done Precalculus with Trigonometry. AB is terribly easy and is already part of the BC curriculum, thus rendering it useless to take if for a full year and possibly making you forget information on Parametrics. I’m self-studying AB for this very reason, and apparently it actually only take 2-3 months to learn it.

Sophomore: AP world history, AP Biology
Junior: AP US History, AP Chemistry, AP English Lang. & Comp.
Senior: AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, AP English Lit. & Comp., AP Government

I will probably take more, but this is all I have lined up so far.

10th: AP World History
11th: AP English Language, AP US History, AP Chemistry
12th: AP English Literature, AP US Government, AP Psychology, AP Calculus AB

I’m really jealous that your schools have so many AP classes… I will have taken 8 out of 12 AP classes offered by the time I graduate, and I can’t fit any more in my schedule. Oh well, I’m satisfied with everything I’ve done anyway.

Sophomore:
European History
Junior (now):
U.S. History
English Language & Comp
Senior:
English Literature & Comp
Comparative Gov & Politics
U.S. Gov & Politics
French
Statistics
Calculus AB
Physics C or Biology
So I’m not taking too many, but that’s all I could fit into my schedule. I wish there were freshmen AP classes at my school. I could have done Human Geo & World History then.

10th:
AP Environmental Science: 5 (self)
AP Human Geography: 5 (self)
AP US History: 5

11th (this year with expected scores, though these are really just guesses at this point in time.):
AP Calculus AB - 5
AP Chemistry - 3/4
AP Chemistry Lab
AP Physics C: Mechanics - 3/4/5
AP Psychology- 5 (easiest class ever!)

12th (I don’t really know for sure yet, but this may be close to accurate. Included are college classes which are not necessarily AP but I feel I should add them to make my schedule more complete.)
AP Statistics
AP English Lit
Calculus II, Calculus III (taking BC test)
Calc-based Physics II (taking Electricity and Magnetism AP test)
Astronomy 101 (waay looking forward to this.)

Sophomore: the first year we can start taking APs at our school
European History

Junior:
Calculus AB
Chemistry
English Language
Spanish Language
U.S. History

Senior:
Calculus BC (self-study, no class at our school)
English Literature
Physics B (possibly C self-study; again, no class)
Statistics
U.S. Government
Environmental Science (self-study)

Question: Why are you people planning on taking 5-6 AP’s senior year and 15 AP’s in total? Do you like doing 5 hours of HW a night?

And What’s the point of self-studying for 6 different AP’s?

Everyone on this site is an overacheiver.

Edit: Actually, I have answered my own question. After reading the thread about where people are applying for college, I have conculded that this site is full of the elitist scholar crowd. You know, the type of people whom feel the need to apply to every school in the USNWR top 10, UCLA, and Cal. If this aforementioned group of people fails to be accepted to an Ivy League school, Stanford, MIT, Duke, or Cal Tech, then they will view themselves as complete failures.
