@snowfairy137 WOW. When did you have time to take Calc AB and all the other Physics courses before sophomore year? That’s astonishing!
same to you, @wonderfulreads Calc BC is a hard subject. Kudos to you guys mastering it in sophmore year! Are you guys planning to take any math classes after that in junior and senior year.
I’m taking AP Euro in school.
@Pandu16 I took algebra 2 online with geometry in school in 8th grade, then pre-calc in 9th, and my school doesn’t require AB as a pre-rec to BC. With Physics C, I took honors physics this year but at my school the only pre-rec to the AP sciences is 10th grade Honors Bio which makes no sense, so I decided to just self-study it. In junior and senior year and planning on doing running start at a local university and taking more advanced phyisics and math classes that aren’t offered at school.
I took AP Euro last year, it was A LOT of note taking and essay writing. My teacher was a disorganized mess tho, so that made the class even harder than it should be.
AP Calc BC
AP Biology
AP Physics 1
AP Physics 2
AP Psych Self-Study
Lol all the People taking Ap calc.
ap bio, ap chem, ap world probs gonna die lolz
Since a majority of you are taking AP World History, here are my words of wisdom. I just took it and I got a 5. I also got over 100% in this class and here’s why. AP World History is a test of effects, NOT memorization. In each era, make sure you know WHY everything happened, why one event led to the next, instead of what happened. For example, ask yourself, “WHY did the industrial revolution happen first in Britain?” INSTEAD of “where did the industrial revolution first happen?” College Board is trying to test your analyzation skills NOT your random knowledge of random facts. Knowing WHY and HOW everything happened will help you on the MC and the FRQs.
I used this thread as the basis of my studying:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/history-social-sciences/1368644-how-to-effectively-self-study-ap-world-history-p1.html Everything this guy says is true!
Here’s how I studied:
Read the Princeton Review once and did practice tests (don’t worry, the mc is harder than the actual test), binged watch getafive.com three times the week before the test (not advised, spread it out a little more), and watched John Green’s Crash Course several times throughout the year. I studied one month in advancedon’t get lazy, study as early as possible
If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask me. I know I received help from a lot of people on this site and I want to return the favor.
@athenanv13 Thank you for the advice!! I’m taking it next year and am quite a bit nervous. I’ve started to worry because I got a 4 on my APHG test and that is one of the easier ones I hear. (I know, I’m paraniod)
@Madeline25 Don’t worry about getting a 4 on APHG. A freshman getting a 4 on that test is very impressive. You will also get smarter throughout high school, and do better on AP tests. I got a 4 on APHG my sophomore year and have gotten five 5’s over the course of my high school career
@iubaccounting Thanks! That makes me feel a lot better.
AP Art History and AP Psychology.
