I was wondering what apps are other students using to keep organized.

You mean like… iPhone apps? I just downloaded Evernote for my iPhone and Macbook, and it seems pretty useful.

uhh
calendar
notes
…yeah

apps…? seriously?

it’s sort of a lame question, sorry

if you think it’s lame why waste your cool time answering a lame question

i answered the question sincerely

It’s not really that weird of a question…

I didn’t really use any special productivity apps for note-taking if that’s what you’re asking but a lot of other apps were useful throughout undergrad. The Weather Channel app in the mornings, calendar, and notes are kind of a given. I used the Bank of America app all the time to check my account/credit card balances when I was out. Yelp to check restaurant reviews when eating out. New York Times and Wall Street Journal were useful when I had to eat breakfast/lunch alone in dining halls. Facebook, ESPN, and Words with Friends when I zoned out in lecture.

Huffington Post for when I’m bored, but should probably know what’s going on in the world.

Evernote to read over my notes when I’m away from the computer.

CNN is pretty good too.

istudiezpro…love it! Also I got The Hit List and Brisk, Day One but that was for my own personal use…if you got the mac gift card I can see why you asked! I googled the question about 500 times :P

I do have the gift card, I figured instead of wasting it on all games and other stuff, I would get some to help with school. I googled college apps and it’s thousands of them, so I thought i could ask and maybe find some recommendations. I didn’t know it was a “lame” question.

50 pages about cargo shorts but an app question is ridiculous.

Oh I don think its lame at all…screw ppl who do! Check out istudiezpro! I couldn’t find that many to help me school wise, buy maybe u can!

Evernote’s always a good one. I like my NPR, BBC and Huffington Post apps for news; Bank of America app to check my accounts, make transfers, find locations, etc.

Gizmodo would probably have some good suggestions.

-PNC one to keep track of my money.
-CNN and BBC app to keep up with what’s up in the world- I use this when I’m going to and from classes and such.
-Notes app (don’t know exact name) to keep track of stuff I have to do and things I need to remember. I also use this for grocery lists.
-An email app that alerts me as soon as I have an email in my school email account (I use this extensively for work so it’s awesome).
-ESPN. I’m a sports fanatic.

All of my apps are free. I would never pay for one. There’s just really nothing that I need that badly.

kaka flashcards

Alarmed

Great as an alarm
Clock and a todo list

Well if you’re talking about macbook applications a good one is SelfControl, which will block access to any website, such a social networking sites, for any amount of time. You do not regain access to the website until the time you set has elapsed, even if you restart your computer you cannot access the site.
