I got approved for the ACT accomadations, receiving 50% extra time.I’m still waiting for approval for SAT subject test accomadations , but I’m assuming If I get approved, I will also get 50% extra time.
I am taking two SAT subject tests, and ACT with writing. How would 50% extra time be like for those tests?
If the accommodation you’re requesting is 50% extra time, then that’s exactly what you’ll get - 50% extra time. Not sure what else you’re asking.

The difference between 50% ACT and 50% SAT is that you will be given a block of time for ACT to complete the 4 sections, hence you will be able to use more time in one section, say Math, and less time in another section, say Science. The block of time you will be given in ACT is a little more than the (total of 4 sections * 1.5), I think it is 1/2 hour more, but if you were to take breaks, it will be out of the block of time.
I do not know about Canada, but if you are in US and if your only accommodation is 50% extra time, Post #3 is not accurate for US. You will need to take the test at a test center. (I do have a kid who took test in her school with 50% time, but she had other approved accommodation which included taking test on multiple days). The allocation of a block of time is not new (my kid initially only had 50% time used it a few years ago)
