What are colleges that are like New York University?

Also, are there colleges like New York University that have admission rates of 30% or higher?

I would say that USC is kind of like NYU

OP was asking for similar schools with more lenient admission rates. To my knowledge, USC is probably even more competitive than NYU.

I’d say BU, in terms of similar-ish size (~20k students) and a city campus.

^^^
I would say NYU and USC are very similar. We consider USC to by the NYU of California. Admissions at USC and NYU is almost the same. NYUs admission rate this past year was 32% including LSP, 26% not including LSP. USCs admission rate is 24%. NYUs SAT scores and USC SATs 25%-75% are very similar (the difference is 50 points).

Are you looking for city schools? Maybe Fordham Lincoln Center which has a more artsy vibe than the Rose Hill campus because the school’s theater and dance programs are there. Small campus right in Manhattan at Lincoln Center.
Other large city schools in the Northeast that come to mind right away are GW, BU.

USC, Boston University, U of Miami, SMU, Northeastern

USC is nothing like NYU. Neither is Miami.
Five minutes on the campuses will tell you as much.

Schools like NYU are pretty rare. Northwestern and U of Chicago may be similar enough. Northeastern University and BU are definitely similar to NYU.
