I'm guessing there is also a difference between the freshman college class and the upperclassmen as well.

How would you describe the difference between the social lives of college students and high school students?

How would you describe the difference between the social lives of college students and high school students?

In college, you live with your friends. Basically, any day, you can hang out at midnight…etc. I think I’ve spent more time in one year of college with people than with the people I spent three years of high school with.

You’re more than likely to be surrounded with friends who are like-minded. Rather than those friends you had that flunked classes, didn’t give a damn, ditched classes, etc.

You’re going to be living around more friends (compared to high school) that actually want to make something of themselves perhaps, or at least have an idea of something they want to do in life, something they want to pursue, and so it is a good environment to be immersed in.

Pretty much sums up what I wanted to type. Basically, your friends in college will be more driven, more intense, and more fun to be around (in the sense that, your seeing them almost everyday, day and night, unlike high school, and that you learn their habits and w/e)

High school was always filled with those lame ditchers and people who have no where to go, in college it’s very different, everyone wants to do something, everyone has something to do.

oh yeah… and could you also tell us what university you go to, so that we can have a clearer image across different uni’s?

You meet older people.

Exactly what cboe and everyone else said. Agree 100%.

I get intimidated by older people easily, but the best advice someone gave me for that was that they’re still people.

Hey hey, let’s be honest here!

College social life consists of naked orgies fueled by fountains of alcohol and endless quantities of ecstasy.

what?

So the ultimate question is, how much does this differ across the average state school versus a competitive Ivy League school? How are social interactions different, if at all?

^Why would there be any (major) differences? Your friends are your friends, and people are people, no matter which school they happen to attend.

When we meet someone we think we’ll be friends with, we walk backwards ten paces, run towards each other and collide heads. It’s a sign of friendship and mutual respect. You should perform this act with every potential friend you meet or they will be horribly insulted.

^^^ True story

In my school the females bend over to get spanked by the males when they first meet them. But if they dont notice you or forget, you need to do it forcefully, or they will be horribly insulted.

^

hahahaha OMG.

I was going to say something horrible.

I will just stay quiet.

Do it do it do it do it

I was just gonna tell you northerners how we make friends in TX.

But I think it is more disturbing than funny.

lets hear it
