what are good majors for this profession?

<p>hi, im in my first year of college at SUNY Maritime. i plan to work in the government, doing law enforcement, as in, FBI, CIA, etc. im sorta undecided on which part of the law enforcement field i will join, but i wanted to know wut are good majors for this field in general. of course criminal justice and law are important and are probably gonna be the suggestions but ive heard that other types of majors would be better because criminal justice and law are somewhat "cliche" for my future career. for instance, i heard FBI prefers people in accounting. im not sure if this is reliable or not, but im going with this right now since i have no other sources telling me otherwise. but im not positive if ill be in the FBI or not. i just wanted to know wut majors people believe would be good for the field im trying to go into.
also, if anyone is actually pursuing the same thing i am, what are ur plans to go into this job? i plan to join NROTC during second year of college and join the NAVY after college. im pretty sure ill go to graduate school after, but im not gonna concern myself of that just yet. i wanna first figure out wut i need to study in the beginning of all this mess lol. if anyone can help me out in anyway, i would appreciate it very, very much. ive been wondering about this topic for a while but had no one to ask. hopefully this forum and u guys will help me out ;D thank you if u actually read all of this and thank you even more if u reply anything lolol i know it was long sorry ;pp</p>

<p>If you want to work for the FBI or CIA, I highly recommend a math/science/business-related degree. Accounting, engineering, computer science majors are highly sought after. They are also looking for language interpreters. They don't really care if you have a law enforcement degree unless you have many years of investigative experience. <p>THe BEST majors for the CIA is Middle Eastern Studies,International Relations, International Finance, Computer Science and Rare Languages such as Farsi,Arabic,Chinese,Korean, and Russian. </p>

<p>But the CIA DOESN'T do law enforcement</p>
