What are good off campus housing sites?

I was just accepted as a transfer student and am needing to find roommates and housing. I would like to live with other LMU students as roommates. I posted on craigslist and the lmu facebook page for roommates, any other ideas? Also, where are the best apartments to live? Want safety, not a lot of noise, gated parking and entrances, possibly pool and gym. Am looking at Westchester, Playa del Rey, playa vista and maybe marina del rey, venice. Don't want to have to hassle with a lot of traffic to and from school.

Hey kschmk, I am also looking for off-campus housing. I’m going to be a junior at LMU this fall, studying Business Administration. If you’re still looking for a roommate, send me a private message and we can talk more about it.

Finding a place around LMU looks to be pretty expensive. All the places I’ve found (for a 1 bed, 1 bath) all range from $1200+/a month. Of course it gets more expensive when you add on another room, but if you split it with another person, it becomes more affordable for each person.

i know this is probably late and i’m sure you’ve found housing since the semester starts in 10 days, but playa vista is a great place for transfers to live. i transferred last year and lived in fountain park, one of my best friends lived in the catalina and a bunch of friends lived there too.
