Hi, I am currently a Sophomore in High School. I want to see what you guys think about my current stats and where I stand. Thanks in advance for reading this and helping me out. I am aiming for top colleges in the U.S. (Ivies, Stanford, MIT, etc.) I’m also looking into schools like GA Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, and Vanderbilt.
Academics:
-Very competitive high school (the type where everyone is aiming high)
-4.0 GPA Unweighted (out of 4)
-12 or 13 APs by the end of Senior Year
-99 Percentile PSAT
Extracurriculars:
-Varsity sports
-Officer of Green/Environment Club
-Head of Engineering Club Design Team
-Volunteer at local Fire Station and Library
-Volunteer at Children’s Museum
-Chess Club
-Science Olympiad
-Internship with professor in an university over the summer, hopefully will get scientific paper published in a journal
-2 Scholastic Gold Writing Awards
-Latin National Exam Medals
-NHS (expected)
-2 Language Honor Societies
-Published Photographer and won multiple photo competitions
-Worked with National Park Service with their Centennial Campaign (Photography-wise)
I am looking into a STEM-related major, most likely environmental engineering, engineering, or a mathematics field.
So what do you think? Where should I improve or do in Junior year and Senior year? What are my chances? Any feedback is appreciated!
