I started with a 3.5 GPA my freshman year but have started working much harder. I finished my junior year second semester with a 4.0 and was in 2 AP classes and 3 honors classes. My GPA has been on a constant rise. At the end of my first semester this year I will have a GPA of 3.75 and a higher weighted.

I feel a lot of pressure to attend the University of Notre Dame. Please let me know what you think my chances are! I would also love to chance you back (I think that is how this works). Thank you!

I would be in shock if you didn’t get accepted. You have everything that school wants. Grades, test scores, athletics, church work, volunteer work, all the bases thoroughly covered. Plus you are a double legacy.

I agree that it would be pretty surprising if you were not accepted. The only thing that could hold you back is your GPA, but other than that your resume is impressive. My only question, though, is whether you really want to attend. You say you are under pressure to go to ND, but is it what you really want? Are there other schools to which you are applying?

Thanks! I feel like this is more of a confidence boost then anything. I applied to 12 schools in total, so I have plenty of options. I do feel a ton of pressure to go just because of the way I’ve been brought up, Notre Dame has always been a part of my life. I do love the school and am pretty sure it is where I want to be. I’m just worried about disappointing my family.

You’re probably in.

Why didn’t you just apply REA to get the suspense over with before Christmas?

It’s non-binding and you could have applied to EA programs.

The thing the REA prevents you from doing is applying ED to other schools. I don’t think you applied ED anywhere else based on fact it looks like you’re applying RD.

^haha I know, I wish I would have applied early.

Good shot of getting in. Your ACT is within range and your application seems balanced with plenty of ECs.

@spartans22 I agree with the previous post. I would be shocked if you were not accepted.

You seem like a great candidate especially when considered you’re a legacy. I can’t say with certainty you’ll get in because ND is such a competitive school but you’ve definitely put yourself into the position to be admitted. You should be really happy with your chances. Best of luck!
