not safety?, how about the rest

you are a picky one aren't cha

why picky, i am in california so the public schools like ucla and ucb are bound to relative safety's and newayz is not like i am saying harvard or yale or princeton or stanford
not even caltech or mit

Columbia (ED): reach
Columbia (RD): reach
JHU: slight reach
Duke: slight reach / reach
Penn: slight reach / reach
Cornell: slight reach
Vanderbilt: match
UCB/UCLA: match

Safety means you are guaranteed admission. Vanderbilt, UCB, & UCLA do not fall into that category for you. UCSD is a safety. Apply there & you should be upset.

No one is being negative. It is unlikely that you are rejected by UCB and/or UCLA, but it is possible -- hence, they are not safeties.

where r u applying to , and what r ur stats, just out of curiousity

I think you have a great shot at Columbia. My friend who's stats are NOWHERE near yours got in and he's from the middle east too. I think you in 80%.

Definitely looking good. If you think ethnicity is a problem then don't fill it in. I don't think that or your political views should be a problem (fyi, Columbia's rather liberal).

I'd say 70-75% for Columbia College b/c it's been such a crapshoot for my school so I won't raise your hopes.
But if you were interested in Fu Foundation, I'd say apply there cause I think you might then be 80%-85% for that.

Good luck!
