Thank you, but I want to know if he took 14 ap’s in 9-11th grade. it’s not fair, I want to pursue an ivy league education, and I will be at a disadvantage because my school offers 11 ap classes. ;(
@Abdulmalik142 , you are hijacking and need to start your own thread. However, I will clarify. You are not at a disadvantage because you are only assesed by what your school offers. No colleges deduct points if your school has eleven and his school has fifteen. And you shouldn’t want to pursue an Ivy league education, you should want to pursue a college degree.
do you have any hooks - legacy, sport maybe, urm, first-gen, and what is your potential major?
Sorry for hijacking.
As others have pointed out, your stats are great. They will make you competitive for every school you apply to. But your ECs are pretty average. Your best bet would be to focus your time on your essays. You need to show admission officers what you are passionate about or who you are in a way that the rest of your application can’t show. If you write some amazing essays and have multiple people read those essays and love them, then I think your chances are solid
Sorry, if you want stem, the 1 in AP physics is going to tough to overcome. It’s a case where you can’t just omit it. The 3 for stats is similar. The competition for Ivies is that fierce. There is no getting around that with some bright essay. And, is sci bowl your only stem related EC?
Also, just stating your uw gpa doesn’t tell what you got less than A in. That matters in courses related to the major.
If you’re thinking humanities, same issue with the 1, 2, and 3 scores.
It looks like you either overloaded yourself or picked which exams to focus on. Are all those APs on your transcript?
