Thank you reading for this! Hope that you have a really nice day/ night!

Regardless of your scores, very low. NYU Tisch is incredibly difficult to get into and only the absolute best get in. Looking broadly, it isn’t uncommon for there to be kids to audition for 10+ schools and not get into a single MT program. Work on your craft as much as you can and make a big list of colleges to audition for that include ones that aren’t ranked in the top 10. There are multiple hidden gems across the country. I’m currently at UCF and love the program and am surrounded by opportunities and connections in Orlando. Also keep in mind that NYU gives little to no financial aid so you will be paying the sticker price tuition and dorming.

Note that all the admissions luck in the world won’t help if your parents can’t pay for it and NYU is notoriously expensive. Make sure there’s enough money for your dreams.

@jms2468 - you have the same chances as everyone else. My daughter started at Tisch in their MT studio this year. Tisch is one of the largest drama programs in the nation and about 20% of their freshman drama class does MT at the New Studio.

Here’s how admissions works: You upload videos and supporting artistic materials depending upon your major. You then sign up for an audition. The audition includes an acting portion, a vocal audition and a dance call. The audition gives you your artistic “rating” from Tisch. I don’t know how much the uploaded videos add to that, I think it just helps them give a better rounded sense for you as an artist. Your artistic portfolio/evaluation is then sent to NYU admissions and they make the admissions decision based 50% on your academic record and 50% on your artistic merit.

So - keep those grades up! Don’t worry about taking every AP under the sun, keep your grades up and take challenging courses. Good scores are also a big help so consider getting test prep help if you need it. Get all the testing done before the summer because June to Feb is a very busy time for BFA applicants. It’s nice to do shows during the year but for admissions your audition matters most. Starting now, concentrate on your training: vocal training, especially.

In terms of finances, NYU is very expensive but does give financial aid. My daughter says many of her cohort at Tisch received scholarships. Good luck! My D is very happy she’s at NYU, it was her dream school.

No one can tell you what your chances are as what it ultimately comes down to is your audition. Scattergrams and Chance Me Threads won’t tell you if you will be accepted anywhere as as MT major. Good luck!
