Sorry for the late reply but I forgot I made this post days after posted. I just made a post, pretty much an updated post, for a question into transferring into Binghamton. Also my major is computer science.
You don’t have enough credits(apply after 30+ credits), I’d suggest take some math classes atleast calculus 2. Also maintain a good gpa. And you’re good to go. I’m cs also and was recently accepted and bing. I’ve good number of classes though.
I made another post after this one, it’s about Bing only. I listed my GPA, sat, etc. To the school. I submitted everything to them little over 2 weeks ago. I sent in all required stuff + a Zeeme profile and a personalized essay for Bing specifically. Haven’t heard anything back yet but I’m really hoping
Well let’s hope for good. Else you can follow the 30+ credits path and you’re good to go! It’s not really competitive, and with 3.5 gpa you’ve a great shot.
Ehhhh not really a 3.5, I have a 3.02. I was was correct in my prediction in all classes except Bio which I got a C+ in… so I over shot my GPA prediction score. However I did get a B+ in calculus and they said on their site for CS that it’s heavily recommended to get high scores in your Math classes. Hopefully they won’t hammer me for an elective. At least I can hope.
The thing is you don’t have enough credits so I can’t really chance you, if you had 24+ credits they would only evaluate on your college classes. Ps I really recommend taking uptil calculus 2. And you need to pump your gpa a little, take some general eds you know…
Yeah I was planning on taking Calculus 2 in the summer as an online course and doing some classes this year, I’m taking Chem, Graphic Design and Writing. All of which I’m doing pretty good in. Thanks for your input thus far!
I applied to binghamton and stony brook in HS because they were both my dream schools and I got denied from both of them, I took a ton of honor classes and college classes. I had a 90 Gpa with a 1210 SAT score. Through high school I got 31 college credits with a 3.30 GPA, I currently go to pace University and the first semester I had a 3.54. I got the urge to apply to both of the schools again to see what would happened and I got my acceptance to Binghamton last week. I will be going to Binghamton next semester with 49 transfer credits. If you get denied don’t give up, just try your hardest the next time around.
