What are my chances at University of Southern california?

So I want to apply to the University of Southern California. Anyways, below is my current academic status.

I got an 1800 on the SAT. 610 on Reading. 640 on Math. 550 on Writing.

I have a 3.68 unweighted GPA. and a 3.9545 weighted GPA.

I didn't take as many AP and honors classes throughout my freshmen to junior year, however my senior year. I am taking 2 honors classes and 4 AP classes.

I am ranked 382 out of 1000 or something kids. This puts me in the 4th decile.

My school goes on block scheduling.

My extra curriculars are:

I intern at a business management office
I intern at a doctor's office.
I play the piano.
I am part of the Chinese Club for 3 consecutive years.
I am part of the National Honors Society.
I was part of Key Club for one year.
I was part of Interact for one year.

and that is about it. I don't really have that many extra curriculars.

Another thing about USC is that I have legacy. Both my parents as well as aunts and uncles went there. I don't know if USC considers legacy though but it might help?

Anyways chance me.

USC would definitely be a reach for you. Your rank and GPA are just not good enough. The only way to improve your chances would be to re-take the SATs, but unless if there is a dramatic improvement, your chances will not change.

u think a damn good essay will help? like how much does the essay count into admisions?
