Money is slightly an issue for me, so I’m not applying to private schools such as USC, and Chapman.

Please respond.

https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major can help you with 25th-75th percentile GPAs of admitted transfer students and transfer admission rates at UCs.

If money is an issue, have you run the net price calculator on each school you may want to transfer to?

https://www2.calstate.edu/attend/degrees-certificates-credentials/Pages/impacted-degrees.aspx has some information on impaction at CSUs (i.e. where higher GPA is needed than the baseline). Both CSULB and CSUN are impacted campuses, and your major is additionally impacted. If you are in the CSU campus’ local area, you may get some preference.

Have you already applied? Because you need 60 transferable units by the spring before you transfer.

Are you international? USC is “only” $6000 more than UCSB/UCLA, so it might still be worth it.
Doesn’t your CC have a bunch of agreements with UC’s? My school has a guaranteed transfer to UCLA/UCSB.

Thank you for the information

I’m applying this year! I still need to finish the IGETC.

So are you saying that you can’t apply under a guaranteed transfer, because you didn’t finish your IGETC? Last time I checked UCB requires you to finish your IGETC either way.

First, no school has a guaranteed transfer to UCLA and there are still requirements for UCSB. As far as your chances are concerned, to UCLA they are very slim. This is what I would say to anyone, since the admit rate is 2%. Elsewhere, however, I like your odds to get in, at least for the UCs, I don’t know much about the CSUs.

Thank you so much guys!
