What are my chances? Columbia ED, UofMichigan, and Duke

Hi I am a rising senior and my dream has always been Columbia but I am really uncertain about my chances. I also would like to know my chances at places like UofM and Duke, but if anyone could recommend schools that are good for STEM based careers, that would sure be helpful too :).

Demographics: White Female, middle-low income, urban area in Florida

Stats:
SAT: 1450
Rank: 5/920
UW GPA: 3.961
Weighted GPA: 5.137
17 AP’s including senior year

Awards:

  • State ranked and placed wrestler

Activities:

  • 4 years varsity wrestling, team captain
  • 2 years varsity softball
  • 2 years varsity cross country
  • 2 years varsity track and field
  • NHS, NTHS
  • Programming club
  • Girl scouts

Intended Major: Software/electrical engineering or computer science

I can’t comment on your chances, except to say as all those schools are reaches and it sounds like you will need a financial package. Your stats are excellent, but like everyone says on CC - make sure you have appropriate target and financial safety schools. I am unsure if the state schools on your list would provide funding for an out of state student and if they did, if it would be enough.

I will say that being a female wrestler really stood out to me and I hope you find a way to integrate that experience into your essays - very unique across most of the US and would make me want to learn more about you, if I was reading your application.
