What are my chances for being accepted to Spelman College?

May I start this thread off by saying that attending Spelman College is my DREAM SCHOOL. I am 100% positive that I'd like to attend Spelman once I graduate high school. But first, I need to make sure that I actually have a pretty good chance of being accepted. Obviously the school is selective so here are my stats:

High school freshman

Grades:
Usually ranging from a 3.8-4.0 but this year was especially difficult for me. It's currently a 3.2 :( In the first semester I had a 3.5.

I haven't taken my SAT or ACT yet.

I've been in honors classes since 7th grade. This school year I was put into Algebra I Honors and English I Honors. Usually we're in the same classes for the next few years of high school. In 11th grade I was planning on taking Dual Enrollment (College Level) English 101and American History with AP Psychology and Honors Algebra II. In 12th Grade I am planning on taking Dual Enrollment (College Level) Advanced Math and English 102 with AP European History.

Extracurriculars:
Student Senate (In this club since 7th grade and plans on doing so until 12th.)
4-H (Participated since grade 4 and I plan on participating in it until 12th grade. My leadership roles in the past have been treasurer, and secretary, and I'm currently part of the CRD committee.)
4-H Leaders (Recently joined and plans on continue participating)
Beta Club (Participated since 7th grade and plans on participating until 12th.)
FBLA (Participated since 8th grade and I plan on doing so until 12th. I won 4th place in the state competition in the 15 page financial business plan.)

Pointe Coupee Young Leaders
Educational Talent Search (In since 8th grade)
People to People Student Ambassadors (Have been invited to partake in the travel program since 5th grade and I am now raising money to travel with them during the summer of 2011.)
I plan on joining track next year and participating until 12th grade.
My friend and I are about to charter a Keyettes Club at our school.

Volunteer Work:
Grade teacher's work
Tutor some classmates
Process of creating a non-profit organization
With the Student Senate club I'm in, we usually go to the nursing home and pass out cards to the elderly and hold book drives. We also sometimes collect products for soldiers and many other interesting activities.
I'm currently planning projects for my Keyettes Club that will be different from the other volunteer work that I'm doing right now.

I'm wondering if my stats are good enough to be accepted into Spelman. I will be very disappointed if I'm not accepted. I am trying harder than ever to KEEP my GPA exactly at 3.8 or higher as it usually is in the future because freshman year is not going as I was expecting it to.

Sorry for the long long post but thank you in advance. :)

I advise that you take the ACT/SAT sometime soon so that you know where you are. You don’t want to be taking those tests on the last minute during your Junior or Senior year. Furthermore, it may help to get involved in some activities. Also, bring up your GPA and you should be fine.

Okay, thank you azn135
And very ironic because I was just looking for dates for the ACT earlier!

The GPA has to rise alot. 3.2 isn’t going to work especially since high school gets progressively harder. However, Spelman accepts 39% with an average of a 23 on the ACT. This shouldn’t be too difficult and the extra curricular work you have so far is outstanding. Keep studying you can easily do it!

Okay! Thank you so much harvard14

Great EC’s but try to raise your GPA

hi again  id like to come back to say that i recently completed freshman year with a 3.5 (A average) so now thats my final GPA
