I want to know my chances for:
UCB
UCLA
UCSD
Cornell
Dartmouth
Brown
Columbia
Harvard (LOL)
Georgetown

I realize many of these schools might be reaches, but I’m mainly concerned about the UCs

Thank you

For UCs, the following may help you estimate chances:

However, intended major is significant in many cases when applying to UCs. Some majors (e.g. computer science) tend to be more difficult to gain admission to than the campus they are at.

The term “Lower Ivies” should not exist.

To start off, your GPA and ECs and pretty solid so good job on that.
An update on the subject tests later on would help, but they’re not as important as SAT1, and since you got a 1500 on that, I’m pretty sure you’ll do well on your subject tests if you study well.

Your ECs, although pretty good, are a little below the average for the institutions that you wish to apply to, but you have a little bit of time to dig up a few things and make up for that.

Since you’re mostly concerned about UCs, I’ll have to say that you’ve got a pretty solid chance at all three of them (Especially UCSD).

For instance, I found an article on StudentTutor the other day and it read the following:

"Alright, let’s review. To pass the UC Berkeley admissions requirements and be a Golden Bear, we recommend the following:

-A 3.85 Unweighted GPA (or higher)
-A 4.39 Weighted GPA (or higher)
-A score of 2171 on the SAT or 33 on the ACT
-Research your major/program (Use UCB’s Academic Guide!)
-Take your UC Berkeley Admissions Test no later than December of your graduating year
-Do well on your UC Berkeley Admissions Essay (Remember the points I gave you!)
-Use the comments section of your essay (if needed)
-Access scholarships and other awards through your MyFinAid Account"

I just copy pasted this from the website, and as you can notice from the first 3 points, you’re doing well.

As for the rest,

Cornell – Accept
Dartmouth – Reject
Brown – Reject
Columbia – Waitlist/Accept
Harvard – Reject
Georgetown – Waitlist/Accept

Work on your ECs and good luck!

There are no lower Ivies.

Lol, no lower Ivies. But you have solid scores and EC’s that you can continue to develop.

Cornell- Waitlst/Accept
Dartmouth- Reject
Brown- Waitlist/Accept
Columbia- Reject
Harvard- Reject
Georgetown- Waitlist/Reject

Chance me back?
