What are my chances for Cornell/Penn?

Hey everyone,

I’m a rising HS Senior and I would love to go to Cornell or Penn. I’d love your honest opinions on my chances on either of these schools! I’m thinking of applying to CALs at Cornell and the regular College at Penn but still not entirely sure on what I want to major in. I really have no idea about my chances so any feedback would be appreciated.

(not legacy)
(not minority)

Academics:
GPA - 2.9
SAT - 1270
ACT- 27 (took sophomore year)
APs - 1 (Euro)

Athletics:
Crew (Fall and Spring) 6 Varsity Letters, Team Captain, 6:09 2k score, United States Junior National Team
Nordic Skiing, 3 Varsity Letters, Co-Captain

Extra Curriculars:
Sports Editor of the School Newspaper
2 school singing groups (general and more select groups)

I’m sorry, but your GPA and tests scores are much too far below the average for you to have a shot at either of these schools.

I agree. It’s essentially going to be impossible with a 2.9 and a 27.
