What Are My Chances for DePauw, University of Washington, Wisconsin U?

What are my chances for DePauw, Bates, University of Washington, University of Wisconsin, Hamilton, Colby, Lehigh?

GPA: Unweighted 3.1
Weighted: 4.0

ACT: 33 (35 English, 35 Math, 36 Science, 29 Reading)

I took challenging courses, 2 or 3 honors classes a year.

Senior Classes: AP Calc AB, AP Stats, AP Bio, Philosophy, Jazz Band, Writing Seminar, Consumer

Extracurriculars: Golf Team 4 years - Plan to play in college - I could play at any of the above aside from U of Wash and U of Wis

Jazz Band - All 4 years, Track 1 year, Intramural basketball 2 years, Radio 2 years, Summer Job

I know there are some other factors that you may not know, but please be honest and give me the best input you can. I appreciate it!! THANKS!!

P.S. I may apply EDI to Bates and EDII to Colby if that would change anything

your act should be a 34 if those are your correct subscores

My best ACT composite is 33, my best sub scores are the ones listed
sorry for not explaining that

Oh I gotcha, well I don’t know much about those schools but I would say DePauw, Washington, and UW youre in. I know colby and lehigh are pretty tough so I would say low reach? im not positive though

do you know your rank… it would really help chance you
im not too familiar w/ those colleges either…

k thank you for the input xcbro, those three were my safeties, so what you said seems right and reassuring

i dont know those schools much, but Uwash. you’re in there for sure

the only part of your app that is lacking in my opinion is the gpa. but other than that, you seem solid. your act is nothing short of nasty. i’d say lehigh is a high match/low reach. i dont know enough about the other schools tho

i think hamilton would be a reach w/ ur gpa

I’m not familiar with those schools… I’m sorry :/

You probably need SAT II, but considering you high ACT, you are good match with the colleges you listed.

thanks guys!! My school does not rank because its against competition or whatever…
if i had to guess i would say that i am easily top 50%, probably around top 25%, school has over 1000 kids per grade.
i still am a little iffy on some of the schools. I really want to go to bates but i am not sure if i can get in?? please help? thanks

Might look at Holy Cross(don’t have to be religious) very good academics and storied golf history-pga players are alumni. HC has stronger alumni network than Bates/Colby.

the only weak spot is your GPA - but colleges will take this with a grain of salt depending on where you went to school (competitive school?) test scores are really strong - ECs could be better, like leadership positions and whatnot. really because of your courseload and test scores i think you have a fair shot at bates. make sure your essays and recs are great!

I’m only familiar with Lehigh, and you should have a pretty decent shot if they can ignore that gpa
