hooks:
basically, I think the only thing that is gonna make me look good for the admissions is that I’m a refugee, I moved to states after my freshman year, and because of my credits, i had to start school as a sophomore and catch up with my credits so that I could graduate on time.
my essay is basically about political correctness and why I had to flee my hometown and my parents’ struggle since they went from everything to nothing.
and me struggling with a new culture (basically a first generation American) and financial issues that my parents had to face since they had to start over at ages 45 and 50 from low paid jobs even though back home they both had professional degrees and well-paid jobs.
