It would help to know which schools you’re applying to.

university of Illinois at chicago
Northeastern University
University of Massachusetts–Amherst
Boston University

Wow, I am an international student and that 700 GRE verbal, 97 TOEFL, and 3.0 AWA just doesn’t match up. Pretty amazing.

Your GPA seems to be in the 3.3-range. Where did you study? Also, it would help to know if you have any previous work/research experiences and if you have reliable sources for LORs.

Anyways, with the information given, I think you have a decent chance for the MS programs, but TA or RAship would be a little bit harder unless you become a PhD candidate after your 1-2 years of MS study.

I think a more realistic path would be 1-2 years of unfunded MS and then funded PhD.

If you want to do a PhD, you should apply to a PhD program, not an MS program and then try to stay on for a PhD.
