I go to a very challenging blue ribbon school in Minnesota and have stayed on the honor roll by taking at least 2 honors/CIS/AP classes a year. I applied back in August and am very concerned since I haven’t heard back.
However, some creditionals I have is I’m very involved in my high school. I’m the captain of the NHS team. I’m in NSHSS. Captain of Spanish Club. Founded a club at my school. Played a sport freshman year. Did dance team for 3 years and have been very involved in theatre including professional theatres in the twin cities. I’ve also been on the board for non profit organization for 4 years. I’ve been apart of the speech team (traveling too) for 3 years.
Another thing I have going for me is that my father is an alumni of the U of MN and still donates a lot of money to the school.
I know my ACT score is pretty low and not very promising, but do you think the work I’ve done in high school could make up for it? Something I talked about in my essay is wanting to the contribute to the diversity of the U of MN with all my numerous activities
