What are my Chances for UT Austin?

Hello, I was recently debating if I should still apply for the University of Texas at Austin because I was not sure if I had a good or decent chance of getting admitted. So I wanted to ask on here.
Weighted GPA: 3.9
Class Size: 1000 and I’m around top 15%
I live in Texas and I am Hispanic.
I am currently enrolled in the Engineering Magnet Program at My School.
I got certified in AutoCad Program.
I currently take AP classes and I did get a 4 on the Spanish Language AP exam. I’m currently taking AP Cal and I will take College Cal. I’m taking dual enrollment courses in English and U.S. history. I will graduate with 9 college hours and 300 community service hours. I will take AP Gov/Economics next semester.
I am graduating Distinguished Honors from my high school. I have been playing on the basketball team since freshmen year. I have many medals from high school of just basketball due to various tournaments I went to in the summer. (About every week, I went to a tournament)I built a robot my sophomore year and qualified for the local competition. I want to Major in either Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architecture. *Not sure if this matters but my brother graduated from UT Austin with I think high honors.

My SAT score is a 1520 and I’m retaking in October.

You have good shot I believe. Try the ACT you might get higher!

Top 15% means that you will be subject to review i.e. non-auto admit. As a review admit your chances increase with better rank and test scores. Your rank is above 10% which means you are not likely to be offered CAP. So your best chance at getting into UT is to transfer in with a stellar GPA. You should note that it is especially difficult to transfer into engineering.

The good news is that success engineering is not dependent on prestige. You can go to any ABET accredited college and get good job offers if you maintain a decent GPA.

Honestly do you believe I can at least get into UT in general and do my basics?

I think you have a pretty good chance especially considering you are in state. If you really want to go to UT I would apply ED and to the education program. I know that is not your preferred program but it is the easiest to get into so if you REALLY want to go to UT that’s what you should do. If you would rather go to an engineering school than to UT, I would still apply to UT in engineering, but not ED and in this case your chances decrease although they still aren’t horrible
