What are my chances for Wharton ED?? =)

Hey guys! Please chance me for wharton! =) I really would like to go there, and want to know what you guys think my chances are like!

Academics:
I attend the Education Program for Gifted Youth Online High School at Stanford University.
• AP courses completed: English Language & Composition, Biology, U.S. History, Chemistry, Calculus AB
• AP courses in progress: Statistics, English Language & Literature, Calculus BC, Physics B
• Completed a university level Economics course through Stanford University
• Awarded ‘Best Lab Partner’ (Spring 2006) and ‘Most Efficient Lab Team’ (Spring 2008)
• Top 5 regional finalist in ‘Growing Up Asian in America’ essay competition (Spring 2008)

GPA: My UW GPA is 3.5!( I goofed off during freshman year and my GPA reflects it..It's not terrible, but it's definitely not one of my selling points. However, it has been on the upswing these past couple years, and my junior year GPA was 4.0 UW.) In addition, the program I have been in since sophomore year is extremely rigorous, so it's harder to score A's, since we are taught by college profs. Also, I know math is really important to Wharton, and my math grades even in Freshman year have consistently been straight A's..idk if that helps

SAT I:
I took it with no prep and I scored a 2170.. I'm planning on retaking it in October and I've been scoring in the 2300's on practice tests (if thats any indication?)

SAT II's:
Lit: 770
Math IIC: I'm taking it in Nov

What do you guys think my chances are like?

It certainly sounds like you’re involved, but I’m sorry to say that even with your stellar ec’s I seriously doubt if you can get in. You have respectable scores and they put you in the competitive range, but they won’t get you in off of their own merit. In addition to that, you have a slightly low GPA. All of this can be fixed through impressive rec letters and essays, but I’m sorry to say that the fact that you are asian will hurt you. At ivies, Asians are considered to be overrepresented minorities and they usually have to score significantly higher than their white/black/hispanic etc. . .counterparts to stay competitive. I’ve seen asian kids with perfect GPA’s, SAT scores, ACT scores, and SATII scores get rejected to stanford and then Native American kids just barely hovering above average get in. Race plays too big of a deal in the acceptance process at this level of school, but it’s something to be aware of. That being said, you have great ec’s and it’s obvious you can write a good essay, so if I were you I’d still throw my hat in the ring. . .to the best of my knowledge I’d say you have about a 3/10 chance of getting in.
Best of luck though. Chance me please?

have u started/ finished writing ur penn essays? cause its kinda lete to start you know. and if you have already finished them then theres no point asking. but i would suggest wait till RD. DEFINITELY. get ur testing scores up in nov, dec, jan and send! No point now EDing. it would make sense if you EA to stanford though as the EPGY would count ALOT in the EA process. but wharton definitely RD.
