I haven't taken SAT/ACTs yet. I've been encouraged to take AP eng classes/analysis classes throughout the yrs but haven't so far.
I don't have many ECs other than tutoring elementary & middle school kids a few hrs/week, 2 medals for completing law and health science academies (school programs), Interact Club (community service) during Sohp yr, & I'm currently in charge of planning a fundraiser to raise fund for breast cancer. Thats truly what I am currently dedicated too. After being informed the tragic news that our dance teacher had passed away from breast cancer after yrs of fighting, & now an old math teacher of mine found that she too has breast cancer, I was influenced to make a difference, along with family and friends, to another woman in the world, even if it means paying for only one patients treatment. My passion is to study immunology and microbiology, specifically w/ cancer. I was first interested in CSI & loved its law aspect. I dreaded having to take extra science classes though. Now that I have taken more challenging science classes, I found it very interesting & wanted to learn way more. I read Survival of the Sickest & it was a great book, encouraging me to major in a biological science. Specifically how the body reacts to pathogens and medicine, & ever since I found out the cancer news, I was more motivated to major in a science & hopefully make some kind of positive difference in cancer patients.
I know my grades aren't the best & Im definitely lacking in the ECs area, also sorry for the long post lol. Be brutally honest with me, & any suggestions on how to amp up my application or any ECs I should do. Maybe even include other colleges I should take into consideration.
