I’m hoping to get into HKU when I graduate (I’m currently a junior in high school), but I’m not sure if I can make it or not. The best SAT score I have right now is 2190 (I got this last May, btw), and I took the December one three weeks ago, but my score dropped a lot, so I don’t think I’m using that one. My GPAs have been all above 3.75, and this year I’ve been getting higher GPAs, close to 4.0, and will keep rising until I graduate (I hope and tryXD). I have a 5 in AP Psychology, and this year I’m planning on taking AP Microeconomics, AP Statistics, and AP Literature, and am hoping to get all 5s, and none below a 4. I have a 760 on SAT2 Math BC, and am planning on taking SAT2 US History and another subject. I’m also studying to pass the HSK Level 4, and maybe will try 5.
The thing is, I’m not in student council, NHS, or any organizations like that, don’t have awards or anything, and the only sports team I ever was in was cross country, which I only did for the first two years of high school. I’m in dance club, volunteering club, MUN, and a volunteering orchestra outside of school, though. Will that be enough to get me to HKU? What are my chances?
Also, what are some other universities that I might have chances at getting accepted? I’m looking for Universities mostly in Hong Kong, US, Canada, or UK, and not really Europe, although I’ll take as many suggestions as possible. Please include why they’re okay for me, and what their minimum qualifications are. I’m kind of in a hurry, because my mom’s really upset that I bombed the last SAT. I don’t even have any more chances, because I can’t take the January one, and I’m not going to do the new SAT or ACT.
Please help! Specific answers would be appreciated!
