What are my chances in University of Pennsylvania or Johns Hopkins University?

Hi everyone,

First and foremost, thank you for reading this and helping me
better understand what I should do.

I'm currently a junior in high school, and I would like to apply to UPenn or JHU.
My GPA is about a 3.65, my SAT score is 2200, my ACT is 29, SAT II Math 2 is 800,
SAT II Bio is 770, SAT II Chem is 780, and my AP Psychology score is a 5.

I have not really been part of any club and I do not play a sport or an instrument in my school,
so I do not have any credits for that. Although I do have certificates of a black belt in MMA and
swimming certificates outside of school.

I have about 100 hours of service at a hospital, and about another 150 hours of other volunteering
activities.

What are the chances I can make it into UPenn or JHU Undergrad for Medicine? And is there
anything I can easily do to increase my chances?

Thanks again!

I think your GPA is pretty low 3.65/4.00???mmm.

I’m applying (well applied ED with similar scores) My GPA is a little lower but our ACT scores are the same. I’m honestly not sure how I’ll fair during the admissions process but I will say that applying ED will definitely give you an edge opposed to you applying during the RD period. Also if you have any hooks, or live in an area that’s not heavily represented in Penn (i.e not the East Coast, Cali, etc…).

Your ECs are very weak. In an area that interests you do “something” that deeply engages you with your high school.
