Calm down - 2280 is not low. It’s a great score. You have a good chance of the ives! But remember it’s still a crapshoot…
Great stats and EC’s and you’re literally officer of 9 clubs. That’s very impressive.
I would suggest that you find the 1-2 clubs that you are the most passionate about and try to make your focus clear.
And a 2280 SAT is not even anywhere near low.
UNC Chapel Hill.
In-State: Match
Out of State: Low reach
Duke: Low reach
HYP: Reach for everyone
I think a lot of Asians are under the (rather incorrect) impressions, that my increasing their SAT scores after a certain point, they’ll be drastically increasing admissions chances. This is most definitely wrong. SAT is used more as a measure to quickly weed out the less qualified applicants applying to the Ivies, and it is generally agreed upon that after a certain point (around 2250) higher scores barely affect admissions chances. So don’t worry, 2280 is a great score (I would worry more about you class rank, although its probably great as well), and a competitive application.
I think you’ve got as good of a chance as any other applicant in terms of Ivy admissions, but speaking from experience, college apps are a total crapshoot. Best of luck!
@Hiiamint nailed it. Your STATS Are fine, well wirhin the critical 25-75% range. Trying to “improve” them is a waste of time. Your GPA and curricular rigor is fine.
What’s going to make or break you will be your ECs and essays. Your ECs are outstanding, but you need to organize them and present them to your advantage. How do they fit together and fit within who you are and what you want to do with your life?
You have the raw materials to be a very strong applicant anywhere. It all comes down to how you present yourself.
