What are my chances? Long list (I will Chance back!)

Hi there! Here's my background:

I am currently a junior, and am planning to go to college for a degree in Music/Music Business
GPA: 3.30
SAT Scores: 1350/2040
EC: Quiz Bowl, Steering Committee (Equivalent of Student Council), Two Choir Groups, Piano Lessons, Currently working two jobs. (Cashier/barista at Panera Bread, Tour Guide/gift shop worker at local cave)I have two years experience at the cave and am still employed.
Volunteer work: Minithon (Children's Cancer Awareness), Help The Fight (Breast Cancer Awareness), Music For Everyone (Raises money to keep music programs in inner city schools)
I currently have an internship at a local music venue that host many national acts. As a part of this internship I work with the sound and lighting for these acts.

My primary instrument is guitar, and I am a bit worried as to how I will fair in auditions. I feel like I am good enough, however I am self taught so I am unsure if I will do well with the classical aspects of the audition.

This is the list of schools I am currently most interested in. Which schools do you think I could get into without much of an issue and which schools are stretch schools at this point?

Albright College
Belmont University
Duquesne University
Indiana University of PA
Kutztown University of PA
Lebanon Valley College
Lehigh University
Lock Haven University of PA
Lyndon State College
Mansfield University of PA
Millersville University of PA
Penn State University Park
Pepperdine University
Point Park University
Seton Hill University
Southern Oregon University
Temple University
University of Pittsburgh
University of the Arts
West Chester University of PA

I will chance you back!

Thanks in advance

Can’t speak to all of these, but Penn State will be a reach. I think Seton Hall is a low reach/ high match. Pittsburgh will also be a reach, as will Lehigh and U of Arts. However, I think you have a shot at Southern Oregon and Temple

Those were my own thoughts as well for the most part (PSU, Pitt, and Lehigh are my stretch schools), except I think/hope I have a better shot at U Arts as it isnt an audition based admission for Music Business degree, and my GPA and SATs are higher than their averages.

Visiting 14 schools in the next two months so this list should condense itself a bit

¾ of the colleges on your list are your match schools. You have a clear, defined outline to your future, and you know what you want (most colleges like that in students). Since you want to pursue a career in music, you got the music credentials. All of these make you a qualified candidate.

But, I just have a question: did you take any AP classes?

I have not as of now (I signed up for AP Gov and politics as well as AP Music Theory.). These classes have 20 spots available each, I am in a school of 2600 kids. I have tried every year but have not gotten those spots as of yet. Hopefully next year.

Sorry it took so long to chance back-
I think a majority of these schools are matches. THe only reaches I would say are Penn State, Lehigh, and Pittsburg. Maybe Pepperdine, but I am not too sure about that one!! Good luck!!

u have decent ec’s and decent sat score, i think all your colleges are matches, except maybe pepperdine.

I’d say most of them are matches, except for Pepperdine and Lehigh. Way to go on having a defined interest and set of goals. I think colleges really appreciate that. I’d say just work on GPA and SAT. Maybe try the ACT ( I prefer it).

Chance me back please!
